Meet Your Host

Hi, I'm Trisha. Baking people happy makes me happy. I've been baking for a very long time. In fact, I became the family birthday cake maker (self-appointed) after one disastrous event where my mother made my Valentine Birthday cake with green food colouring and whole wheat flour. Hard, doughy, and completely inedible, I swore that was the last time I was embarrassed by baked goods. We were only allowed ONE birthday party as a child where we could invite guests, and that was mine.

My passions in life are food and people. And it is when they are in the same room that fills my cup! The innate kindness I feel and compassion for others were nurtured by my parents, who were examples of tolerance, hard work, respect, and care for others. My career in Social Work taught me a tremendous amount about life and love. I knew all that I had learned would serve me well as I started Eat My Shortbread.
