Just inside the main gates of Base31, the Aviator Garden offers a vibrant, nature-filled welcome into the site. The garden blends native plantings, public art, and thoughtful gathering spaces into an experience that celebrates creativity, ecology, and community.
A functional honeycomb sculpture by Mondo Forma features built-in pollinator habitats that support birds, bees, and native species. Throughout the garden, carefully selected wildflowers and grasses create an important habitat for solitary bees and other pollinators, reinforcing the garden’s connection to environmental stewardship and biodiversity.
Further inside, a larger-than-life bee sculpture stands as a tribute to one of nature’s most essential workers, highlighting themes of community, care, and coexistence. Whether you’re stopping in for a quiet moment, exploring with family, or simply taking in the art and landscape, the Aviator Garden invites visitors to wander, discover, and stay awhile.
