Established in Southern Ontario in 1997, Practically Hip has been performing the music its members love for over 20 years at clubs, festivals, universities and colleges, and private events throughout North America and beyond.
The band members are not only professional musicians and performers, they are super fans who have seen over 75 Tragically Hip concerts! As true and dedicated fans, they can be note-perfect on all the songs, while adding jams and electric performance elements audiences are looking for. This is truly what has made Practically Hip the busiest, most sought after and number one Tragically Hip tribute bands in Canada!
The band is passionate about the material and especially passionate about capturing the nuances and spirit of the original performances – down to the rants, stories and all the songs the Hip are known for!

About the Venue
The Drill Hall is one of Base31's most iconic spaces, known for its soaring ceilings, industrial character, and powerful acoustics. Once part of a historic training site, it now hosts concerts that feel both intimate and electric. The room fills with energy the moment the music starts, creating a live experience that stays with you long after the night ends.
Before the show, be sure to explore the Drill Hall Patio, where a rotating lineup of local food vendors serves up delicious eats throughout the evening. Ticket Options
General Admission Standing
General Admission Standing refers to areas of the floor that are not assigned or reserved, with a large standing room area for patrons with a good sightline to the stage, as well as a small area and limited seats for patrons.
Reserved Seating
Reserved Seating is available in rows on the two tiered risers on either side of the floor area with a great view of the stage. Patrons can select the exact location for each of the seats they would like to purchase.
Club Reserved Seating
Club Reserved Seating is on the two tiered risers beside the floor, arranged in tables of four with excellent stage views. Select your exact seats at checkout. Parties of fewer than four may be seated with other guests. Table service is available in this section.
Accessing the Site
Base31 offers multiple parking areas close to the Drill Hall. When you arrive, follow event signage and staff directions to the nearest available lot. The site is walkable, with lighting and pathways guiding you to the venue. Please allow time to park and make your way to the performance.
